I got married at 15… But the morning after our wedding night, my husband told everyone that I wasn’t a virgin and left me.

I laughed before I could stop myself.

Samuel returned the next day.

And then he returned the following week.

He never pressured me. When I was silent, he respected my silence. When I spoke, he listened.

One night, by the light of a streetlamp, he told me that he loved me.

Several weeks later, I finally revealed a part of my past.

“I was married once,” I said. “My husband left me the morning after our wedding because he told everyone I wasn’t a virgin.”

I waited for Samuel to look at me with disgust.

Instead, her eyes were filled with pain.

—Clara —she whispered—, whatever happened to you was never a shame that belonged to you.

Nobody had ever said those words to me.

A year later, Samuel asked me to marry him.

I said yes.

But the night before our wedding, he found an old letter hidden under my clothes.

Adrian’s mother had written it after he left me.

—Please don’t read it—I whispered.

But Samuel had already unfolded the paper.

He read it silently.

Then his hands began to tremble.

Near the end, Margaret had written:

Someone may have hurt her when she was a child, but my son will not bear the stain left by another man.

Samuel slowly looked up at me. His face was pale.

“Did you know?” he asked.

My whole body was paralyzed.

“Yeah.

For a terrible moment, I thought he would leave too.

But Samuel took my hand.

And the next morning, before our wedding ceremony began, he did something that left everyone present stunned…

I couldn’t include the rest of Clara’s story here. In the first comment, I shared what Samuel revealed in front of the guests and what happened when Adrian suddenly appeared at the ceremony. Read the continuation here.

PART 2

The next morning, our families and friends gathered in a small chapel.

I was wearing a simple white dress, but my hands were trembling.
The last time I wore white, my life was destroyed before the sun rose.

Samuel noticed my fear and gently squeezed my fingers.

“This time you’re not alone,” he whispered.

Before the officiant could begin, Samuel stepped forward and turned to face the guests.

“There’s something everyone should hear before I marry Clara,” he said.

The room was completely silent.

My parents were sitting near the back row. They had accepted the invitation reluctantly, although my father had barely spoken to me since his arrival.
